I grabbed the opportunity to do an early ride as the weather indicated rain again. Where I live we have been getting quite a bit of rain, but luckily I only have one more ride to do to reach my goal. Also, the wind came up part of the way home. Saturday looks like the next rain free day at the moment. In the meantime I have exercise classes and line dancing with friends and coffee of course. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Cycled out to Berkeley Vale to have a coffee at their cafe, but it wasn't open. I turned around and cycled back to Maccas at Tugerah. By this time I definitly needed a coffee. I then cycled home and on the way I cycled past a woman who was wearing the Great Cycle Challenge free jersey which I should be receiving this week. This is all thanks to my donators. 🚴
This childrens area and BBQ is where the old Tuggerawong Community Hall use to stand.
While the weather has been in my favour I decided to cycle further. Once I had reached Long Jetty (The longest jetty in New South Wales is the Long Jetty, which measures 351 meters (1,152 feet) long) I cycled back to Berkeley Vale for a coffee at a friends cafe. I walked in and a friend of mine was there and neither one of us was expecting this to happen as she lives a lot further away. When I am cycling I think of the kids that may never experience the excitment of riding a bike as I see families with kids on their bikes trying to do the right thing. Also, bird watches along the lake. 🚴🚴🚴🚴
Cycling while the sun shines. Dropped my family off at the train station and I said to myself 'what a lovely day for a bike ride'. As it was still early I thought why not. I'm riding out to the same area as I did the other day, but trying to take different road options. I alao experienced a lot of Bogan Moths, did I say moths, I meant to say 'Bogan Mouths' as they nearly ended up in my mouth quite a few times. At least the mapies weren't around as they are probably full of the moths this time. Stay safe and healthy. 😁😁
When I first heard about this Great Cycle Challenge I did some research and found this to be something I could challenge myself with. I use to do rides for other charities, but not for quite sometime.
I live in a beautiful part of Australia called the Central Coast and it is a cyclists dream. New shared pathways are being built to be able to cycle around our hugh Tuggerah Lake system.
I will be cycling when the weather allows if I am able to as we all have other things to attend to in our lives.
I cycled to Berkeley Vale Shops and caught up some news that I wasn't expecting as it had been a while since I saw them.
